NameSilo and Dynadot reviewed: two low-cost domain registrars
Prices, privacy and pricing structure for NameSilo and Dynadot, read from their public price pages.
Both registrars focus on low prices and a plain interface. They price differently, so the cheapest one depends on how many domains you register.
Dynadot
- .com is $10.88 to register, renew or transfer.
- .org is $7.99 to register and $11.64 to renew.
- .net is $12.52 for all three.
- Privacy is listed as included.
NameSilo
- The price table starts at $17.29 for a .com when you register 1 to 49 domains.
- Its discount program lowers the price for active account domains. The first tier lists $11.05.
- WHOIS privacy, email forwarding and DNS management are listed as free.
Which to choose
For one or two names, Dynadot is cheaper on the numbers we read, and it does not raise the .com at renewal. NameSilo makes more sense if you hold many domains and qualify for its discount tiers.
Prices were checked on each company's own website on October 22, 2026. Introductory prices, renewal prices and plan limits change often, so confirm them on the plan page before you pay. Hosstec is our own store. Some links on this page are partner links and cost you nothing extra.
